This is what it means to be in a well-designed structure. Architecture shapes lives and guides vision. The Exploded House in Bodrum embodies this, with Gokhan Avcioglu GAD Architecture's deconstructive take on Aegean vernacular architecture, rooted deeply in the rocky terrain .

For the interiors, rare collection of antiques from the Hellenistic, Byzantine, and Ottoman periods was used. While such a collection is a strong starting point, there’s always the risk of turning the home into a static museum. Every detail was meticulously considered, perfectly balanced, and just right .

At the very first encounter with this house, its architectural uniqueness made us question how we should approach her interior.. Spent four days in the house without any furniture and realized that all we needed were a few cushions, a rug, and small surfaces to write on. Sometimes, you just need a place to sit, and the first surface you find becomes your refuge. In here, the design was about meeting primary needs, leaving the rest to your creativity. Each piece is light and individually chosen, because every hour in this home is lived differently, in different spaces, in different settings .
